Description

Laboratory researchers often work in places filled with toxic, corrosive, flammable, explosive, or other hazardous substances and must have relevant safety measures to ensure their safety. Therefore, protecting the laboratory work environment and fume hood is essential.

The fume hood is not standard laboratory equipment but detox equipment. It must undergo strict testing and meet the performance of the relevant standards of the fume hood before it can be used. If the fume hood is regarded as laboratory furniture, the test method on the report obtained by the furniture inspection method is ineligible and cannot be put into service.

Structure 

1. Fume hood body base: we will choose the different materials according to the customer’s requirement; it can be steel, steel wood, or a safety storage cabinet.

2. Socket: the socket is designed to supply electricity to the lab experiment device.
3. LCD intelligent chip: It can automatically control the airflow volume.
4. Tempered glass window: the tempered glass window can isolate the toxic air while experimenting on the worktop.
5. Airflow panel: it can control the direction of the airflow when it moves, reduce the vortex or backflow caused by the airflow not being properly directed, and the different densities of waste gas will be exhausted by other positions. This design can effectively reduce the adverse effects caused by the static pressure and the noise.
6. Fume hood body upper part: it is steel, powder-coated.
7. Automatic sensor: automatically control the airflow volume. When the operator leaves, it can reduce the airflow to reach the power save purpose.
8. Exhaust: the waste gas will discharge through the tube.

Function

A lab fume hood can protect the personnel from hazardous substances by reducing or eliminating the toxic element inhalation with a built-in airflow device.

Automatic Protection

It can ensure that the laboratory automatically closes the front sliding door when no one is working. The lab fume hood door will stop when its detector senses an object protruding. After the chemical hood airflow purifies the harmful substances, they will not stay in the air, and the safety of the staff is no longer threatened. The automatic protection device can be easily activated to control the motor by slowly lifting, pushing, and pulling the window at the front of the fume hood. It can also be operated by hand or foot. Due to the combination of the closed front window and the extraction air control, the air loss in the fume hood is greatly improved, thereby significantly reducing the operating cost of the fume hood.

Air Flow Monitoring

The airflow monitoring device records the ventilation performance of the lab fume hood and displays it through data. At the same time, the airflow monitoring device can issue an audible and visual alarm when the fume hood fails. In addition, touch screen technology can provide functions related to faults, thus making the operation more visual and humanization.

Fluid and Gas Control Ports

The fluid and gas control ports are installed inside the fume hood where the equipment is most convenient, safe, environmentally friendly, and practical.

Electrical Equipment

The flexible and diverse electrical supply ports can supply power to various electrical or electronic products. The sockets are appropriately designed in the required positions, which can easily be controlled from the outside.
